flyADVANCED serves as part of Cirrus’ global network of Cirrus Training Centers (CTCs), which means that our team of professional instructors has been personally trained and evaluated by the specialists at Cirrus Aircraft headquarters. Our Cirrus training fleet features the new and advanced glass cockpits by both Garmin and Avidyne, advanced safety and aerodynamic features and, the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS™). We've also feature multiple Cessna 172 Skyhawks and two simulators in our lineup.

INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS

All renters must provide flyADVANCED with a copy of an insurance binder proving non-owned renter's insurance coverage has been obtained with no less than  $250,000/$25,000 in liability coverage and $20,000 in physical damage coverage.

CHECKOUT REQUIREMENTS

To maintain rental privileges, all of our renters are required to fly with a flyADVANCED instructor both for their initial checkout and every 6 months thereafter.

 

The initial checkout for the Cessna 172 is structured much like a flight review. For a highly proficient pilot, this should take no longer than 3 hours (1-1.5 hours on the ground and 1.5-2 hours in the air). For a less proficient pilot, this will likely span multiple flights and may include dedicated ground or simulator lessons. Please note that instrument rated pilots may also be required to complete the equivalent of an IPC for the initial checkout. In this case, a second flight will probably be necessary.

Cirrus renters are required to complete Cirrus Transition Training and maintain a recurrent training schedule as laid out by Cirrus Aircraft.

For all checkouts, renters are expected to perform simply to the standards of the license they hold.
